17 Months Old

I'm 17 Months old and have a new favorite word!
Can you say "No" because this little 17 month old can, and he uses this word quite a bit these days....  Sometimes it's a very sweet "No-aaaaa"( with a slight head tilt) but then there are the "No!" and "No-No" that show much more animation and frustration in his voice.  Needless to say, this little sweet boy is growing up at a RAPID pace.

He is obsessed with anything that has four wheels, or sounds like a motor.  He even received his first trash truck from his Papa Kenny at our family's thanksgiving, and he could not put it down.

Highlights of lucky number 17:
  • "No" - A big word this month.  It doesn't matter what we ask " Connor, do you want to have  candy?" "NO!"  - Okay, just asking.
  • His love for trucks has hit an all time high this month.
  • His first sleep over with Auntie Lisa - He did great (so she says).
  • Wrestle-Mania - The first time Connor and Ruby decided to "Wrestle" with each other - Hilarious!
  • Halloween - The cutest pirate around (and my new favorite holiday!)
  • Transitioning to just one nap - We are pretty close, but have a had a few days where we just couldn't make it (fell asleep during lunch -literally)
  • Mastering his wiggle car - Yea, Buddy!
  • His first In-N-Out Burger (well it was a grilled cheese, but still!)
  • Reading - We read "Where the Wild Things Are" for the first time this month, and I LOVED watching those eyes get bigger and bigger with a "Grrrrr" sound that came with the turn of each page.
  • Getting MUCH better at throwing the football - Something that makes Daddy oh-so happy!  "Fu-bol"
  • Calls himself by name - "Nonnor"
Connor, each and everyday you are showing more spunk (I wonder where you get it from??) and it's just adorable.  You are becoming quite the little man and you continue to surprise us daily with your words and expressions (my favorite is the eye brow lift.)  Your "Mamamamama" mumbles while you are laying in your crib melt my heart.  Your pucker kisses to Daddy are his favorite. We heart you, big guy!

Ruby and Connor having way too much fun "Wrestling"
 "Just checking my stocks, Mom!"
If these shoes could talk!
"Go long, Dad!"
Priceless.
