We have finally gotten into the holiday spirit and went out to the brave the cold (the 55 degree weather) to pick out the perfect tree - Every year typically goes the same, Joe scours the lot, showing me about 20 trees, all of which aren't the "one", and then right when he's about to lose it, we find it - BUT, this year was different.
I don't know if it's because we had an 1 1/2 year old with us, who was MUCH more interested in the fork lift at the Christmas tree lot then the tree's themselves, but I think we decided on the 2nd tree we looked at! We were in and out of the Christmas tree lot within 20 minutes (can you believe it?) - That may be a record for the Khamis family.
All the way home, I kept thinking, "Did we really get a nice tree, or were we just trying to get out of there?" And what do you know, it's a GREAT tree - Perfect size and shape!
