Chrsitmas Eve, Christmas Morning and Christmas Night -2010

Every year we have Christmas three different times in about a 24 hour period (lucky us, huh!)

We always spend Christmas Eve with the Smiths, celebrate on Christmas morning with just our little family (and have brunch with the Hogans), and then share Christmas night with the Khamis family.  Lots going on, but it's a lot of fun.

This year Connor was all for it, and though he stayed up until 10:30 p.m. on both nights (the latest he has ever stayed up) he was laughing all the way...

Watching his eyes light up at the gifts sitting under the Christmas tree,  "Ho, Ho, Ho" (aka Santa) that he was so intrigued by but also so unsure of and his excitement that came with each and every rip of wrapping paper, just MADE our Christmas this year.

The theme for this year was Trucks, Trucks and MORE trucks!  He was and still is in heaven playing with them all.

Though it seems like it takes about a  month to prep for those 24 hours or so, it's all worth it - What an amazing end to a fabulous year -  We are truly blessed... Merry Christmas to all, and to all good night.

He wasn't really interested in the rest of his gifts after he opened this on Christmas Eve.

This (unfinished) painting that I did a few years ago was very instrumental this year.  He sat on the fireplace daily, and whenever Connor was acting "naughty" I would remind him that "Santa is ALWAYS watching" and he would quickly say "Ho, Ho, Ho" and change his tone - He's actually still out ( and may be all year !)

"Oh my gosh... Matchbox cars in my stocking!!"
He sat and played with these cars/trucks for a good part of Christmas Morning

Another favorite on Christmas morning

"Mom, can we do this every morning?  I love Christmas!"
