Grant's "1st" Tailgate!

Because our little guy is obsessed with anything that resembles a ball, and his birthday falls right at the beginning of football season (oh, and the fact that we love watching football), we thought that a Tailgate would be perfect for Grant's 1st Birthday.

We decided to keep the party small and simple -- Some food, corn hole, footballs, and maybe a few whistles for the kids.  Simple enough, right?

Grant was a great sport, though I was surprised with his lack of enthusiasm with the whole "cake smashing" part of this 1st birthday -- Really wasn't that interested (but a certain little red headed 3 year old was RIGHT there to help him with the cake.)

I am not sure who had more fun, Connor or Grant?  At least every other day, Connor asks "Mom, can we have Grants birthday again this week?"

Everything was great -- It was a little more low key then parties that we have had in the past, but it was perfect for our mellow little one year old.

We love you Grant -- and hope you enjoyed your 1st Tailgate!

 Lots of yummy tailgate food

Can you see the excitement??
Not very into the cake ( but his brother made sure to help him out)

Tailgate favors (note to self: a whistle may seem like a cute item to add to a favor bag -- but DON'T do it)
Happy 1st Birthday, Dubby!
